On November 10, the World Food Travel Association will kickstart FoodTreX Vietnam Summit, its first gastronomy tourism event in Vietnam at the same time as the ASIA Food & Beverage Summit. The two-day event, co-organized by Restaurant Association of Vietnam and Informa Markets, will be 100% online.
Over 30 thought leaders in the food & beverage industry and 700 business owners and investors across seven countries will participate in the summit. Topics of discussion are pressing challenges in the sector, including recovery and sustainable development post-Covid, as well as upcoming opportunities and challenges.
The event will be all in Vietnamese except 2 sessions:
- Erik Wolf, founder of the World Food Travel Association’s keynote speech addressing the future of food tourism in Southeast Asia. The speech will be pre-recorded in English with Vietnamese subtitles.
- Panel discussion “Developing Vietnam’s Gastronomy Tourism Potential” with Erik Wolf; Lauren Shannon, Partner and General Manager of Arigato Japan Food Tours, and Neville Dean, Owner of The Original Taste of Hoi An Tours. The panel will be live, with simultaneous interpretation.
